INSPIRE DRIVE
Terms of service
Last updated 11 September 2026. Teaching and account terms only. The National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996 and its Regulations are the legal authority for road law. This page does not replace the Act or the official learner manual.
1. The service
INSPIRE DRIVE is an online K53 learning service. You get study material, practice, and account tools. We do not issue a learner’s licence, book a NaTIS test for you, or replace a driving school or examiner.
2. Your account
Every field on the learner sign-up form is required except a coupon or unique code. You must use your own name, email, phone number, South African ID number, and a copy of your ID. You must keep your password private. One person, one account.
3. Identity numbers and consent
We collect a South African ID number and an ID document so we can confirm who you are, attach certificates to the right person, keep an audit trail, and help you prepare a NaTIS learner’s-licence booking. We do not use identity numbers for marketing.
You must tick the consent box yourself. A pre-ticked box is not valid consent. If the ID number shows you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also give their name, phone number, and consent before the account can be created.
Read the Privacy and POPIA notice before you type an ID number. That page explains why we ask, who may see the number, how long we keep it, and how to ask for deletion.
4. Safeguards we must show you
These are the operational safeguards that sit behind ID collection. We publish them here so you can see them before you sign up:
- Purpose limit. Identity numbers are used only for identity checks, certificates, audit trails, and NaTIS booking support. Not for advertising.
- Openness. The sign-up form tells you why we need the number before you type it. Consent is a separate, unchecked box.
- Transit. The form and your documents travel over HTTPS.
- Access control. Staff do not get a free view of every full ID number. Support and teaching staff see a truncated number, for example ********1234. Only authorised administrators may open the full number when a real verification task needs it.
- Retention and deletion. We keep identity records while your account is active and for as long as a transport regulator or the law requires a record. If you ask us to delete the account, we remove or anonymise the ID number unless the law says we must keep it.
We do not publish server names, storage methods, or staff tools on this page. That detail would not help you, and it would make the service easier to attack.
5. Course fees and coupons
A 100% coupon or influencer unique code can unlock a free seat at sign-up. Other coupons apply when you pay. Without a free seat, the published K53 course price is R950 once-off. Failed payments do not create access.
6. Acceptable use
Do not share your login, copy the course for resale, upload someone else’s ID, or try to break, scrape, or impersonate the service. We may close an account that breaks these terms or that uses a false identity.
7. Contact
Questions about these terms or about your ID record: use Support or the WhatsApp support button on that page.
